Book Availability News
Flash: if
you've tried to order "Return to the One" and found
that my book isn't readily available from some of
the online (or offline) book sellers, the stocking situation
recently has improved. Hopefully this will
continue. Please email me about any difficulties
you encounter in buying the book.
You might find
the FetchBook lowest
price search for "Return to the One" helpful, both in
terms of finding the best price and the fastest
delivery.
If you want really
personal service, delivery via Priority Mail, and a
signed copy, I've set up a direct sales option
where you'll get an
autographed book packaged and mailed by the author
himself.

Now, back to the usual content of the web
site...
Yes,
you've reached the web site of Brian Hines, writer. This
site is gradually evolving, and eventually will include
information about all of my books, plus my current writing
projects.
For a more inclusive picture of what
is going on in the lives of Brian and Laurel
Hines, click on over to my HinesSight weblog
(the writing-related life of yours truly is encapsulated in
the "Writing/Weblogs"
and "Plotinus"
categories). I also have a Church
of the Churchless weblog dedicated to preaching the
sermon of spiritual independence.
The big news is that my new
book, Return to the One: Plotinus' s Guide to
God-Realization, was published in July
2004. Maybe now
I'll have more successful readings like the pre-publication
event pictured in our (scroll
down that page to see the photo and accompanying
description—you're also
invited to peruse the other Collected Christmas Letters
of Brian Hines).
You can buy my book at Amazon/Borders,
Barnes
& Noble, and BookSense. On
my weblog I posted the Top
Ten Reasons to buy Return to the One,
which, not surprisingly, I find pretty darn persuasive.
More information about the book can be found on the Unlimited
Publishing and Adrasteia
Publishing websites.
If you want a sneak preview,
here's how Return to the One
starts out.
If you've read the book and have a comment
or question, send me an email: brian@brianhines.com
Also, consider submitting a reader review on the Amazon/Borders
and Barnes&Noble
websites. As I say in Return to the One, "Plotinus
clearly favored dialogue over dissertation." So do I.
